My family went up to Whiting campground for an over nighter for the 4th. This was Gavin's first camping experience other than Father 'n Sons. We went up Sunday afternoon and came back Monday afternoon. Both Gavin and Parker had a blast. It was a lot of work keeping Parker out of trouble. He wasn't happy to stay around our campsite, he had to roam around into the street and up the mountains. We spent the night in my parents trailer, and we all actually slept pretty well. We took bikes up for the boys, but for some reason Parker only wanted to ride his cousin Katie's Dora bike. Overall, it was fun, I might consider doing it again. I'm not much of a camper, but I need to let my kids experience the fun of it.

4th of July-Part 2-Camping!

4th of July--Part 1
Because the 4th was on a Sunday this year, we celebrated all weekend. On Saturday we went boating with my family down to Utah Lake. Unfortunately, it was so windy we didn't make it out very far, and no one even got in the water. It was fun having a picnic and going on a boat ride anyway. I left Bressain and Parker home so Parker could nap. It was nice not having to chase him around all afternoon. After boating we came home and did a few fireworks in the backyard. Parker was afraid of them, and if one came near him he cried. But, Gavin thought they were pretty cool. After that Gavin and I went to see the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire. Once again we left Bressain and Parker home so Parker could go to bed. Good thing Bressain doesn't mind staying home, cause it sure made things nicer not having to chase a non-stop 18 month old!!
Father's Day Pictures

I never know what to get Bressain for Father's Day. If he ever wants anything he just buys it, or else I don't know how to buy it, because its some computer thing. So, I decided to get pictures taken of the boys and put them in a nice frame for him. After all, who wouldn't want pic's of these adorable boys!? I thought they turned out pretty nice, the photographer had me be in a few. I wasn't planning on being in any, but it is nice to have some pictures with me and my boys.

My kind of Parade.
Gavin's Preschool had a parade for all the preschool kids for the 4th of July. They got to make flags and decorations and then walked around the block. He was really excited for it. He talked about it right before he went to bed and he was up early ready to go to school that day. The parade lasted about 7 minutes total, there wasn't a huge crowd and we found a spot in the shade--much nicer than the huge Provo parade. Here are some pictures of him walking with his class and Parker watching. The little girl in the stripes is his new best friend in this class. Her name is Mckenzie and Gavin tells me every day what a nice girl she is.
