Happy Father's Day!

I wanted to do a quick shout out to all the "fathers" in my life. First, there is my husband who is a great daddy to my 2 boys. Gavin and Parker just worship him, and Bressain is one of Gavin's all time hero's. I'm so grateful to have married such a good man that takes care of us.
Then, there is my dad, I can always count on him if I ever need anything. He is an awesome Grandpa to my kids. I know everyone says it, but I think I have the best dad in the world! And, I can't forget my father-in-law, he set an excellent example for Bressain on what a husband and father should be. I'm so thankful I have them in my life!

FARM TOWN!

One day the kids were driving me crazy and we needed to get out of the house, so I decided to go up to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. My sister and her kids and my mom came with us. It was so fun to see Parker see all the animals. He was totally amazed by all of them. They have horses there for the kids to ride, and it was all Gavin could think about. He didn't care about anything else until he got to ride that horse. I'm not sure Parker liked the horse ride, but he didn't scream. It's actually turned out to be a lot of fun--a great way to spend the afternoon with the kids. Here are some pic's of our adventures.

Gavin Graduates!!

Gavin graduated from his 3 yr old preschool class with flying colors. The last day of school he had a program to show us all what he had learned. I had full intentions of taking lots of pictures and even remembered the video camera. Unfortunately, I took this one pic and then a message came up saying my memory card was full. BUMMER!!
Here he is sitting by Kanyon, who was his best friend in the class. He talked about Kanyon daily. His teacher, Mrs. Beach, said they were inseparable. He learned a lot this year. He knows his numbers 1-20, and all of his letters--he can recognize them and tell me what sounds they make. He can write his first name. He wants to learn to read so badly, because his dad told him he can play all the funnest computer games if he knows how to read. I'm afraid he's going to be my little nerd--just like his Daddy!!

Gavin LOVES school! In fact, I decided to put him into summer preschool because he was so bored without it. He is doing well so far, his teacher is Mrs. Hardman (my sister), and he will have her for the 4 yr old preschool class as well.

I am glad he has 1 more year before kindergarten, I don't think I'm ready for him to go to the big school yet. It is amazing to me how fast this little dude is growing up. He is so fun to have in our family, everyday he makes me laugh.

Nathan Got Hitched!!

May 1st, 2010-- My baby brother got married. I am so excited for him, he found an awesome girl that fits into our family really well. They got married in the Manti Temple. They are so dang happy--I don't think I've ever seen Nathan any happier. Nathan and I have a weird relationship, because we are so far apart in age, I, in many ways, have always felt like one of his mother's. In fact, Bressain jokingly calls him my first born son. I like that we still work together every Friday so I can keep tabs on him.

We are really close. We have traveled alot together, we spent many holidays being the only 2 kids left at home, we've been there for each other during emotional times, and we've become really good friends throughout the years--in fact I'd consider him one of my best friends. I'm excited to watch him go through the many fun years ahead.

Let's Go Fly a Kite!!

My nephew gave Gavin a Star Wars kite, that he no longer wanted. So of course Gavin was stoked to go fly it. So one Sunday afternoon Bressain and Gavin walked over to the field by our house and got it up in the air in about 30 seconds. My only experience with kite flying is frustration because I could never get it to stay in the air, so I was very impressed with Bressain's flying abilities. Gavin thought it was pretty dang cool!! My boys are so blessed to have such an awesome, fun dad!!
